Much of our work is nurturing university units and mentoring others, so we value people who can do the work and bring others along.

Distributed by default, with periodic in-person team weeks where we co-build and co-debug across time zones.
Mentoring the next data practitioners.
We work with undergraduate and graduate trainees with strong foundations in data and engineering, or in research. If you’re serious about doing this work for a living, we’ll sit with you on real problems and share what we’ve learned.
Mentorship runs through our mission. We nurture data and research units inside universities and connect them with the community organizations that need support, so trainees learn on work that reaches communities.
