Public Sector

Narok County's CLTS pipeline, digitized

Challenge

Narok County Government was running its Community-Led Total Sanitation program on paper. Community Health Volunteers filled registers by hand at the village level, sub-county officers compiled them up the chain, and county leadership received aggregates that were delayed and inconsistent. Visibility into which villages had been triggered, followed up, or verified for ODF status was patchy at best.

What we did

  1. 01Built a custom mobile application for Community Health Volunteers to capture triggering, follow-up monitoring, and household-level data offline.
  2. 02Designed a backend dashboard for Public Health Officers and sub-county coordinators to monitor village progress and surface bottlenecks in the ODF journey.
  3. 03Migrated existing paper records into the digital system.
  4. 04Trained CHVs and county staff on the new workflow, with field support during rollout.

Outcome

25,000+

Global Health

Ins8 for Amref Health Africa's regional WASH program

Challenge

Amref Health Africa's WASH program runs across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, with each country team capturing program data in its own systems. Regional leadership had no consolidated view of progress across the portfolio, and reporting cycles required manual aggregation from disparate sources.

What we did

  1. 01Stood up Ins8 as the consolidated platform for the regional WASH program.
  2. 02Pulled decentralized data sources from the three country teams into a single instance.
  3. 03Designed program-level dashboards for regional leadership and country managers.
  4. 04Standardized reporting structures so country autonomy on collection was preserved while regional aggregation became automatic.
  5. 05Onboarded program staff across the three countries to use the platform day-to-day.

Real-time pipelines for FINISH Mondial sanitation programs

Challenge

FINISH Mondial runs sanitation marketing and financing programs in Kenya and Uganda, supporting household toilet uptake through micro-finance and supply-side sanitation businesses. M&E and impact reporting had to pull together data from multiple field teams and partner organizations, with delays and inconsistencies between cycles.

What we did

  1. 01Built fmvisualize as a custom data product for FINISH Mondial's sanitation portfolio.
  2. 02Designed real-time data pipelines feeding field-level data into a consolidated reporting layer.
  3. 03Built dashboards tailored to program leadership and donor reporting needs.
  4. 04Improved the reliability and timeliness of M&E data across the portfolio.
